Register Your Data Feed (One time only for each file you create)
Register your data feed by clicking the 'Register a Data Feed' button above. This tells us which files
you’re sending. As soon as we detect your file in your FTP directory, we’ll process it automatically. If
you don’t register the feed before transferring the file, your file will be deleted from your FTP directory and will not be processed.
-
Add Your Product Data
Once you have reviewed our guidelines, start adding your product data to your file.
-
Save and Transfer Your Product File
After you’ve added all of your data to your product file, save the file as a .txt (tab-delimited) or .csv or as an
Excel file (.xls or .xlsx). Then transfer the product file to your secure JustParts FTP folder. For learn more about
sending files via FTP, click here.
IMPORTANT:
The name of the product file you transfer to your JustParts FTP directory MUST EXACTLY MATCH the
name of your data feed you registered in step 3. For example, if you registered the data feed
‘justparts_headlights.csv’, then the file you transfer must be named ‘justparts_headlights.csv’. If it has a different
name, your product file will not be processed.
HELPFUL HINT:
To make it easier for you to manage your data, we strongly encourage that you upload individual files containing
all the same types of products. For example, if you are uploading alternators, engines and headlights, we
suggest that you create three separate files: alternators.csv, engines.csv and headlights.csv. That way, if you
want to make changes to a particular type of product, you won't affect the other products listed on JustParts.
